One Line is a casual art drawing game where your mission is to use a single line to protect an innocent man from a series of unfortunate events. From shielding him against heavy rain to fending off aggressive bees and even angry giants, each level presents a new challenge. Get creative and use the power of One Line to ensure he stays safe, all while enjoying the simple yet satisfying drawing mechanics. The more you play, the more you'll need to think outside the box to keep him protected!
How to Play One Line
In One Line, your mission is to protect an oblivious man from a variety of threats by drawing a single line. From falling boulders to aggressive bees and even bullets, dangers are constantly looming. The puzzles start simple, but as you progress, the challenges become more complex with new elements to consider. Your line can block, divert, or shield the man, but it’s up to your creativity to figure out the best way to keep him safe.
You only need to protect the man for 3 seconds to complete each level, but how you do it is where the challenge lies. There are often multiple ways to draw the line effectively, so think outside the box and experiment with different strategies. As you advance, you’ll face more difficult scenarios that require quick thinking and precision to ensure your safety.
If you find yourself stuck, don’t hesitate to use the hints. They’ll show you the ideal line for each level, offering a helpful guide when you’re unsure how to proceed.
Gravity is key in this game and the trick that separates a good line from a failed one is balance with gravity in mind. A lopsided shape will tip or slide right off your character you're trying to protect so before you draw, think about where the line will settle once gravity takes hold. A shape that hugs the platform or braces against a wall stays put, while a sprawling scribble can collapse in exactly the wrong direction and leave your character exposed. Sometimes less is more, since a compact, anchored shape is stronger than a big tangled cage.
When you're stuck, the Hint button shows you the solution as a dotted outline traced directly onto the level, so you can see exactly what shape to draw and where to place it before committing your own line. Hints require you to watch a short ad, and so do the other boosts like Line 2X, which extends how much line you can draw, and the Eraser, which lets you wipe a bad drawing and try again. If a level goes wrong you can always retry for free, or watch an ad to skip it entirely and move on.
The threats keep aren’t always the same which means your structure can’t always be the same. Each danger is different, so the shape that saved you in the last level probably won't work on the next one. There's also a shop where you can change the look of your line, with a page of basic colors to pick from and a set of epic patterned skins that unlock by watching ads.
