How to Play X Trench Run

In X Trench Run, you pilot a ship flying through a narrow trench at increasing speed. Your only job is to survive as long as possible while collecting points. The game never lets you relax because it keeps accelerating, turning manageable obstacles into split-second decisions the longer you progress.

Points accumulate passively as you fly through the trench, and you earn them by passing through narrow gaps in walls, destroying objects in your path with your laser, and simply surviving longer. Because the game speeds up over time, lasting longer naturally becomes harder, which makes high scores a real achievement rather than just a matter of time.

The three main threats are crashing into the trench walls or obstacles, taking a hit from an enemy laser, and failing to survive boss encounters. Walls are the most common cause of death early on, while enemy fire becomes more dangerous as the game speeds up and your reaction time shrinks.

Enemy ships appear periodically and shoot at you as you fly past them. Their aim is not perfectly accurate, but at high speeds, even imprecise shots are hard to avoid. Boss battles show up after you have been flying for a while. Bosses absorb multiple hits before going down and shoot in patterns you need to read and dodge. They are tougher than regular enemies, but their attacks are still predictable once you have seen them a few times.

Power-Ups

Power-ups spawn in the trench and are worth prioritizing. Speed Down is probably the most valuable one because it temporarily slows the game, giving you breathing room to react. Shield absorbs incoming damage so you can survive a hit that would otherwise end your run. Wall Destroyer clears obstacles ahead of you, though it can reduce your score since you are not actually navigating through the gaps yourself.

How to Get a High Score

Stay near the center of the trench by default rather than hugging either side. The center gives you the most reaction time in both directions when an obstacle appears. Grab Speed Down power-ups whenever the game starts feeling out of control, rather than saving them. During boss fights, keep moving steadily rather than making sharp, jerky movements since the boss shots have enough spread that calm, consistent dodging works better than frantic repositioning. Survival is always worth more than attempting risky offensive plays that put you in danger.
