How to Play Real Car Driving

You start the game by customizing your car. Your money balance appears in the top right corner, so to start you won’t have much to work with until you earn more.

The Garage is where you deck out your car, so choose what suits your style. Use the arrows on either side of the screen to browse available cars, then style your ride with these options:

• Decal: Add body decals
• Rim: Change your wheels
• Spoiler: Add a rear spoiler
• Car Color: Pick your paint
• Sticker: Apply stickers
• Window Color: Tint your windows
• Camber: Adjust your wheel angle

Once your car looks the way you want, you have a few options from the main menu. Hit Play to jump into the game and become a pro driver by completing missions. You can head back to the Garage anytime to keep customizing your car, or open Settings to adjust graphics, sound, and controls. There's also a Free Money button if you want a quick boost to your balance.

Choosing a mode

Hit Play, and you'll choose from three modes:

• Container: Level-based challenges set high above the city on shipping containers and narrow platforms.
• Stunt: Level-based stunt courses full of colorful ramps and big airtime.
• Free: Open-ended free roam through the full city, with traffic, signals, ramps, and no objectives.

Container and Stunt progress level by level. Completing a level earns you money (Level 1 pays $500), and you can restart, head back to the menu, or move straight on to the next level from the completion screen.

The controls

• W / A / S / D or Arrow Keys: Drive the car
• Space: Handbrake
• E: Enter or exit your vehicle
• C: Change camera view
• Shift: Sprint while on foot
• P: Pause

If you prefer to use your mouse, there's also a Control Car With Mouse option in Settings.

Free roam in the city

Free mode gives you the full city to explore. The streets are filled with traffic, intersections, and working signals, plus ramps and bridges scattered throughout. One thing you may notice is that there are no pedestrians walking around.

You can run red lights, weave through traffic, and crash into other cars without consequence. Your car never takes damage no matter how hard you hit something, which makes this a great game for anyone who loves driving games with few limitations.

Settings

You can customize a few other things besides your wheels.

• Graphic: Choose High, Mid, or Low quality. Drop to Low if the game stutters on an older machine.
• HUD Visibility: Slide to adjust how visible the on-screen controls are.
• Control Car With Mouse: Toggle mouse steering on or off.
• Sound: Separate toggles for Music and Effects.
