How to Play Obby: Supercar Race on Keyboard

You start your journey in a slow little orange hatchback with pretty much no speed. The game walks you through the basics. First, it tells you to ride the treadmill, then to pass the first challenge and get your first cup.

Your speed counter sits at the bottom of the screen, right above your level bar. Driving and riding the treadmills both add speed, and you'll see little wheel icons with +3 popping off your car. The treadmills at the start are marked x1. Signs nearby show bigger rewards like +32, but those need a certain number of wins first, so keep that in mind as a goal.

Your level fills up as you play. Early levels go quick but the later levels require more points to win, so they won’t be as quick.

Obstacles

The first stages are pretty forgiving, mostly flat keyboard with a few gaps. The further you go, the more difficult it gets. Watch out for some of the more challenging obstacles:

• Spinning fans: Big blue rings with blades turning inside them sit right in the middle of the track. You have to drive through the ring, so time your run between the blades.
• Rolling wheels: Giant blue wheels spin along the edges of the narrow bridges. The bridges themselves are skinny gray strips with no rails, so there's not much room to swerve.
• Red pillars: Tall red posts stick up out of the keys. Steer between them.
• Ramps and gaps: Some sections end in a ramp with green arrows on it that launch you across a gap to the next platform. Hit it straight on or you'll come up short.
• Narrow paths: Later stages shrink the keyboard down to tight walkways that twist and change height, which gets tricky once your speed is in the tens of thousands.

By Stage 8 you'll be dealing with all of these back to back, but clearing it pays out more cash and wins than the early stages.

Cars

Open Cars (E) to see your garage. The starter hatchback gives +1 speed, and there's a big grid of locked cars waiting behind it, from sedans to full supercars. Each new car bumps your speed, which helps you clear the harder stages.

Pets

Pets cost cash. An egg is 100 cash. The chick is the most common pet. Here are the odds for what type of pet you’re likely to get from your egg:

• Chick (Common): 54%
• Blue bird: 25%
• Bunny: 12%
• Cat: 6%
• Dog: 3%

There's also a pricier egg further along for 10K. You can hold 3 pets at a time and hold 50 in your inventory.
