Bowmasters: Archery Shooting is an arcade shooting game in which you face off against a lineup of interesting opponents, one arrow at a time. You start as a grinning, green-capped archer squaring off against an opponent in a shark suit on a city sidewalk. From there, the roster grows into more than 60 characters from all kinds of worlds, each with their own weapon and finishing move.
How to Play Bowmasters: Archery Shooting
Each duel in Bowmasters: Archery Shooting is a back-and-forth exchange. You take a shot and then your opponent shoots back, and the first archer whose health bar runs out loses. A marker on the edge of the screen shows how far away your opponent is, usually somewhere around 45 to 50 meters in the early levels.
The key to winning is aiming!
How to aim and shoot in Bowmasters:
- Click anywhere on the screen and hold.
- Drag backward, away from your opponent, to pull back the bowstring. The farther you drag, the more power your shot has.
- Move your cursor up or down to adjust the angle. Power and angle appear in a bubble above your archer.
- Follow the white dots to see the start of your arrow's path.
- Release to fire, then brace yourself for your opponent's return shot.
The most common beginner mistake is not using enough power. A weak shot at a high angle will fall short or get stuck in whatever's standing in front of you. If your arrows keep landing short, pull back farther. Sometimes a full-power shot at a nearly flat angle is all it takes to fly over the obstacles and land a clean hit.
If you want to inflict the most damage, aim for the head. It's often enough to end a duel in just a couple of turns. Body shots still chip away at your opponent's health, but landing an arrow right between the eyes is what will get you bonus points.
Once you've won a few rounds, the game starts getting fun. Bowmasters features dozens of characters and weapons, so there's always a new archer to try and a new way to beat your rival.
